Our Story
Douglas-Ochoa Ventures was built out of lived experience – not theory, not trends, and not surface-level advice.
After years of working inside complex organizations and alongside growing businesses, we saw the same problem repeat itself again and again: founders and leaders were getting plenty of recommendations, but very little real support when it came time to execute. Strategy decks were delivered. Ideas were discussed. And then… nothing actually changed.
Businesses don’t stall because of a lack of ideas.
They stall because execution breaks down.
Operations become inconsistent. Communication gets unclear. Marketing loses direction. Technology becomes fragmented instead of supportive. Decisions stack up faster than anyone has the capacity to act on them.
Douglas-Ochoa Ventures exists to close that gap.
We were founded to support businesses that need more than advice – they need partners who understand how to translate ideas into action, align people and systems, and do the work required to move a business forward.

Together, we bring experience across operations, communications, marketing, and technology – allowing us to support businesses holistically instead of in silos.

Matt Douglas-Ochoa
Co-Founder + Managing Partner
Matt Douglas-Ochoa brings experience in operations, communications, and execution across complex organizations and mission-driven environments. His work focuses on helping teams operate more effectively by strengthening processes, clarifying communication, and turning strategy into action.
Matt holds a degree in Communications with a focus on interpersonal and organizational communication, which shapes his practical, clarity-driven approach to consulting. He has spent more than a decade supporting organizational growth through strategic planning, operations, marketing + communications, and team leadership.
Born and raised in North Carolina, Matt brings strong familiarity with the local business landscape and remains actively engaged in the community. He has been recognized for his leadership and impact, including being named a Raleigh Magazine “20 in Their 20s” honoree.

Luke Douglas-Ochoa
Co-Founder
Luke Douglas-Ochoa brings more than 20 years of experience in technology, systems, and hands-on execution, helping businesses build reliable, secure, and scalable technology environments. His work focuses on making technology practical, aligned, and supportive of daily operations.
Luke holds a degree in Electronic Engineering and specializes in translating technical complexity into usable systems. His experience spans hardware and software installation, network and device setup, system configuration, cybersecurity, and ongoing technical support.
Born and raised in Venezuela, Luke has proudly called the United States home for more than eight years. He brings a global perspective and a strong execution mindset, ensuring technology functions as an asset rather than a barrier.
